On February 28, 2007, LS&L petitioned the FCC to reconsider and revoke a special temporary authorization granted to Rodney D. Moyes to operate a low power FM radio station in Goldfield, Nevada. The authorization was granted contrary to FCC policy that precludes anyone who has operated an unauthorized "pirate" radio station from being granted an FCC radio station license.
